In November 2015, the reconstructed Qasr Al Muwaiji fort, showcased an elegant museum opened to public viewing. Built in the early years of the 20th century in Al Ain in the time of Sheikh Zayed bin Khalifa the First by his son Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed bin Khalifa, the fort was passed to his son Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalifa after his death and today stands as one of the UAE’s most important buildings. Housing an iconic glass exhibition within its courtyard, the museum is a testament to both the archaeology of the fort itself, the local area that forms part of the wider Al Ain World Heritage site and the life and history of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa.

Since 2013, we have been creating content for the museum and were honoured to reconstruct both the historical and contemporary archaeological elements of the exhibition. In 2015, we were approached by Action Impact to aid with the logistics of the opening celebrations for the fort museum. On top of providing daily renders to visualise how the fort would be set up for the organisational team & to help plan movements around the structure, we also created fold-able fort models for the public open days.
